  • 2 pounds jumbo shrimp peeled, deveined

  • 1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley (a couple of handfuls)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 garlic cloves crushed, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt more or less
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (a couple of generous drizzles)
  • AGLIO OLIO:
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil (4 turns around pan in a light stream)
  • 1 tin anchovy fillets - (2 oz)
  • 6 large garlic cloves - (to 8) crushed, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup finely-chopped flat leaf parsley (a couple of handfuls)
  • Coarse salt to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti cooked to al dente
