Oatmeal cookies

Place shortening, sugar, eggs,water and vanilla in mixing bowl
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups oatmeal uncooked
peppercorn beurre blanc sauce

Great over baked cod. First had this at the FireSide Theater on Fort Atkinson WI
- Beurre Blanc Sauce
- 3/4 cup of dry white wine
- 1 large or 2 smaller shallots, finely minced
- The juice from 1/2 a lemon
- 2 Tbls of heavy (whipping) cream)
- 8 Tbls of unsalted butter, kept cold and cut into squares
- 1 tps black peppercorn
- Salt and pepper to taste (white pepper is traditional here, to preserve the whiteness of the sauce. I generally just use black pepper, however. Up to you…)
Banana cake/bread

- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup spry
- 1 teas soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- pinch salt
- 2 ripe bananas I use more like 4
- 2 cups flour
- nut meats if wanted
- I add chocolate chips for even more flavor..wow
Bake Beans Doctored

Bake 325 45 minutes to 1 hour
- 12 oz can bushes baked beans
- 3 tbsp molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 slices bacon cut up fine fried
- 2 tbsp bacon grease
Mock Chop Suey Casserole

Place in buttered dish Bake 250 for 1 1/2 hours cover the last 1/2 hour
- 1 cup celery
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion
- Mix this with following after browned
- 1/4 c soy sauce
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 can bean sprouts
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 can water chestnuts

Mom Behling's recipe
- 1 cup spry
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teas baking powder
- 2 cups plus 3 tbps flour
- 1 teas salt
- 1 teas vanilla
- 1 bag chocholate chips
- nuts optional
Copycat Bailey's Irish Cream

Directions Blend all ingredients on high for 30 seconds
- 1 C. light cream
- 1 14 oz. can Eagle sweetened condensed milk
- 1 2/3 C. Irish whiskey
- 1 tsp. instant coffee
- 2 Tbs. Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Mx pudding cake mix and pudding mix with eggs, poppy seeds and water
- 1 box white cake mix with pudding in it.
- 1 small box instant lemon pudding
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 1 cup hot water.
Chocolate Pudding

Grandma Hermsens recipe
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa
- 3 tbsp corn starch
- 1 cap vanilla
- 1 tbps butter.
7 Minute Frosting

Combine all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teas cream of tarter
- 1/8 teas salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 teas vanilla
