Italian Dish from Sicily
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- Spices to taste (rosemary, thyme, oregano, Majoram, garlic, etc)
- 1 TBSP chopped parsley
- 6 cups cooked rice, hot
- 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- All-purpose flour (1 to 1 1/2 cups)
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato cause
Couscous Corn and Black Bean Salad

- 2 cups broth
- 10 oz couscous
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- 5 TBS lime juice
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper

- 2 tomatoes diced
- 2 cups black beans
- 1/3 cup diced onion or 1/3 cup thinly slices green onion
Spaghetti with Cherry Tomatoes and Toasted Garlic

1. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions
- 3/4 lb whole grain spaghetti
- 3 TBSP olive oil
- 4 medium garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 3 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/3 cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves, sliced into ribbons
- 1/3 cup coarsely grated Parmesan
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/4 Tsp freshly ground black pepper

- Sauce:
- 2 whole chicken breasts4 breast pieces, boneless/skinless

- 2 Cups shredded lettuce
- 12 soft tortilla wraps

- 1 pkg (12 oz) refrigerated biscuits (10 biscuits)

This delicious, traditional beef brisket is wonderful for Hanukkah or a family dinner
- 1 3-31/2 lb. beef brisket, trimmed of fat (see note)
- 1 tsp. PENZEYS FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER
- 2-3 TB. flour
- 2 TB. vegetable oil
- 2 large or 3 medium yellow onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. KOSHER FLAKE SALT (optional)
- 1 large WHOLE BAY LEAF
- 8 WHOLE BLACK PEPPERCORNS
- 4 WHOLE CLOVES
- 5 WHOLE ALLSPICE
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1/2 Cup red wine
- 1/4 Cup cider vinegar
- 1/3 Cup ketchup
- 3-4 parsnips, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch discs
- 3-4 large carrots, scrubbed and sliced into 3/4-inch discs
- 1/2 Cup water or red wine (optional extra if the liquid has cooked down more than you'd like)
- 1/4 Cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional
