- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cinnamon chips
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream

this is a very straightforward and easy muffin recipe
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs, room temperature preferred
- 1 c1 cup milk (skim, 1%, almond, rice, soy are all ok – room temperature preferred)
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
