Grandma Kakadelas' Crescent Rolls

Sprinkle 2 T. (2 pkgs.) yeast over 1/2 c
- 2 T. (2 pkgs.) yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 heaping t. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 sticks of butter, softened
- 6 eggs
- 9 1/2 c. flour
Red Leaf Salad

Dressing: Combine all dressing ingredients and mix well
- Dressing:
- 1/2 t. grated orange rind
- 1/3 c. fresh orange juice
- 2 T. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 t. Good Seasons Dry Italian Dressing
- Salad:
- 1 head red leaf lettuce
- purple onion, sliced thin
- mandarin oranges
- 4 oz. sugared almonds
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. br. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. oil
- 5 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 t. baking powder
- 3 t. baking soda
- 1 t. cloves
- 1 t. nutmeg
- 1 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. salt
- 1 large can pumpkin filling
- 12 oz. package chocolate chips
Debbie's Salad

Dressing: Combine and mix well
- Dressing:
- 4 T. sugar
- 4 T. wine vinegar
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
- Salad:
- red leaf, or Romaine lettuce
- celery, sliced
- mandarin oranges, drained
- avocado, cut in chunks
- green onions, sliced
- strawberries, sliced or in chunks
- grapes, cut in half
- sugared almonds
Lawry's Tostada Salad

Brown ground beef and onions in a skillet
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (14 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
- 1 pkg taco seasoning mix
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 head lettuce, cut in pieces
- 4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 c. Thousand Island dressing (I don't use this)
- 1 pkg. tortilla chips
- 1 large avocado, sliced
- 4 tomatoes, cut into small wedges
Twice Baked Potato

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- 6 large baking potatoes
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1/8 t. pepper
- 4 chopped green onions
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Strawberry Chicken Salad

Dressing: In a small bowl, combine all dressing ingredients
- Salad:
- 2 c. torn Romaine lettuce
- 2 c. torn bibb (butter) lettuce
- 1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped and lighted toasted
- 3 oz. crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
- 2 c. diced, cooked chicken
- 1/2 pint. strawberries, sliced
- Dressing:
- 1/3 c. olive oil
- 3 T. sugar
- 2 T. raspberry vinegar
- 1 T. sr. cream
- 1 1/2 t. Dijon mustard
Mexican Chicken and Rice Soup

Cut the tortillas into 1/4" strips
- 4 corn torillas
- 1/2 c. canola oil
- 1 T. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped yellow onion
- 1 1/2 T. finely chopped jalapeno (I don't put this in)
- 1 1/2 c. chopped Roma tomatoes
- 1/3 c. chopped cilantro
- 2 t. chopped garlic
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (6 oz) box Uncle Ben's Mexican Fiesta Rice
- 1 c. chopped cooked white chicken meat
- 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
Cafe Rio Pork Salad

Pork: Cook in crock-pot for 5-7 hours with all ingredients
- Pork:
- 4 lb. pork roast
- 1 c. mild salsa
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. 7-up
- Creamy Lime Dressing:
- 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
- 1 T. green salsa verde
- 1/8 t. Tabasco sauce
- 1/3 bunch cilantro
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 lime, zest and juice
- Salad:
- Tortillas
- Lettuce
- Rice
- Beans
- Tomatoes
- Parmesan cheese
- Cilantro
Salmon in Puff Pastry

Sprinkle salmon filets with a little salt and pepper
- 4 - 8 oz. salmon fillets
- salt and pepper
- 1 leek, white part only, cleaned and sliced into thin rings
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut julienne(into thin matchsticks)
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 t. dried thyme
- 1/2 t. dried dill
- 1 pkg. frozen puff pastry, thawed (2 sheets)
- 1 egg mixed with 1 T. cream (egg wash)
