- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, without tenders, at room temperature
- 1 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 - 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large apple, peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 8 mushrooms, temmed, and thinly slided and the slices cut in half
