Sweet and Savory Oatmeal Bake

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, toasted
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup diced apple (about 1 medium apple)
- 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon (preferably maple-smoked)
Pretzel Chow Mix

Place the chocolate chips and butter into a bowl set over a pot of simmering water, and stir until melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Buckwheat Noodle Pasta With Wokked Asparagus, Tomato, Roasted Corn

In small saucepan, heat hondashi and set aside, keeping the broth warm
- 2 cups hondashi broth (available at Asian markets)
- 1 pound buckwheat pasta or soba noodles
- 4 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 bunches cleaned asparagus
- 2 heirloom tomatoes, quartered
- 2 ears white corn off the cob
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
- 1 bunch scallions, cut chiffonade style
- 1/4 cup celery heart leaves for garnish
Strawberry and Mango Guacamole

Scoop the flesh of 2 of the avocados into a bowl and mash with a fork
- 3 ripe Hass avocados
- 2 limes, juiced
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced small
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, minced
- 2 tablespoons minced red onions
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 1 jalapeno, diced (ribs and seeds removed to your liking)
Easy Caramel Sauce

Mix the brown sugar, half-and-half, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat
- 1 packed cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

- 3 lemons, cut in half
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 bulb garlic, split in half
- 3 pounds Alaskan king crab legs, split
- Melted butter for dipping

- 4 sprigs fresh mint, for garnish, optional
- 5 tablespoons sweet paprika

- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
