Double Chocolate Almond Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) salted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed dark or light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup almonds, chopped
Warm Lemon Cumin Chicken

(1) Put the chicken in a large bowl
- 4 large skinless, boneless chicken breasts, about 2 lbs (the chicken you got us worked great for this, Mom)
- 6 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 2 large garlic cloves pushed through a press or minced
- 2 Tbsp ground cumin, divided
- 2 large lemons
- 3 six-inch pita rounds, lightly toasted
- 1 packed cup finely copped fresh curly parsley
- 1/2 cup finely chopped scallions
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mint (I might add even more next time)
- 6 large ripe plum tomatoes, finely diced (we halved the cherry tomatoes from our plant)

Combine all of the ingredients in your slow cooker
- 3 grilled chicken breasts seasoned with your favorite BBQ sauce, chopped
- 1 yellow pepper, chopped
- 1 orange pepper, chopped
- 2 11 oz cans Mexican corn (corn with peppers)
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 15 oz can black beans (or 2 cups black beans)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
