Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 3/4 cup shortening, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups King Arthur flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Crabcakes, Art's

This recipe serves 4-6 people depending on the size of the formed crabcakes
- 1 pound crabmeat
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
Meatloaf, Stephanie's on Newbury

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup onion, sliced and then carmelized
- 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 cups beef stock
- 2 tablespoons Kosher salt
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Sausage Chili

In a large, heavy pot, over medium-high heat, heat the oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 pounds Andouille sausage, cut into 1/2' pieces
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon essence (see recipe)
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 12 ounces dark beer
- 28 ounces (1 can) whole tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 6 cups red kidney beans, cooked
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated cheese, for garnish
- 1 cup green onions, chopped, for garnish
Cookies, Toll House

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- 2 cups unsifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup, firmly packed, light brown sugar
- 1 teapoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 package (12 ounces) Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Parmesan Oyster Crackers

Preheat oven to 250 degrees
- 2 cups oyster crackers
- 1/4 bunch flat leaf parsley, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Kosher salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano-Regiano cheese, shredded
Barbecue Glaze, Jack Daniels

- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 pound bacon, diced
- 1 cp orange juice
- 1 cup Jack Daniels bourbon
- 1 up chicken stock
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Stuffed Clams, Bishop's

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 pound Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1 poun crackers, Royal Lunch, crushed
- 4 ounces walnuts, crushed
- 1 cup margarine, clarified
- 1 cup light cream
- 1 cup clam juice
- 18 clams, top shell removed
- 4 1/2 slices American cheese, cut in fourths
- 6 strips bacon, cut in thirds
Mexican Lasagna

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespooons ground cumin
- 1/2 Red onion, chopped
- 1 can black beans (15 oz.), drained
- 1 cup taco sauce, medium heat
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels
- 1 pinch salt, as needed
- 8 flour tortillas, 8 inch
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 scallions, finely chopped, for garnish
