  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • Chopped tomato, if desired
  • Shredded lettuce, if desired

  • 2-1/2 teaspoons coarse salt, plus more to taste
  • Eight 6-inch corn tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Hass avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Make the salsa ahead of time and store in the fridge—it's even better the next day.
