Almond buffet casserole

I use to make this about once a month
- 4 1/2 cups water
- 2 envelopes dehydrated chicken noodle soup
- 1 cup of rice
- 1 lb of bulk pork sausage
- 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
- 1 medium size onion chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 2/3 cup whole. BLaunched almonds
Banana-Oatmeal Choc Chip Cookies

When I have a few very ripe bananas I make these cookies
- 1/2 mashed Banana
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup granular sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups old fashion oats
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chips ( butterscotch , white or Choc)
- Walnuts
Oven Dutch baby Pancake

- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 tsp on salt
- 1 cup milk
Country Applesauce (McCall's Cook Book)

- 2 lb cooking apples (just a mix of apples)
- 1/2 cup to 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Chili Con Carne with tomatoes

This is my horse show chili
- 1 lb ground Beef
- 2 medium onions chopped ( 1 cup)
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 can. ( 1 lb 12 oz) tomatoes
- 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne red pepper
- 1/8 tsp paprika
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans. Drained
Mocha Biscotti Nestle Toll House

very rich and very good
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Dutch dark Cocoa
- 2 tablespoons instant EXPRESSO
- 1 TSP BAKING POWDER
- 1/2 tsp baking SODA
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 Tablespoon butter softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds toasted
Pizza with Gorgonzola ,Sundried Tomatoes and Walnuts

Sort of a veggie
- 1 pizza crust
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pinch of salt
- 4 oz of Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cups walnuts
- 1/3 cup Sundried tomatoes
- Black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- Preheat oven to 500. Roll out pizza crust and place on stone lightly covered with cornmeal. Brush on olive oil. Add salt, then cheese, walnuts and tomatoes. Add pepper and parsley . Bake for about 8 minutes
- Makes 4 servings
Bon Appetit Holiday Biscotti with Cranberries and Pistachios

- 2 1/4 cups all purpose Flour maybe a little less
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dried sweetened cranberries
- 3/4 cup shelled unsalted pistachios
- 6 oz white choc. chopped
