  • 1 tablespoon meringue powder
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 cups confectioner's sugar
  • pinch salt
  • Whip meringue powder with water
  • Switch to paddle and add confectioner's sugar
  • beat well. Add shortening half way through addition of sugar
