- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, or to taste
- 1 to 4 tbsp maple syrup (to taste)
- 1 to 3 garlic cloves (again, to your taste)
- 4 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)

- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 number 2 can seeded apricots
- 1 cup syrup from the can of apricots
- 1 cup whipping cream
Peach, Raspberry and Blackberry Crisp

- Topping:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats or chopped nuts
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg

- 6 tbsp butter, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
- Fruit:
- 2 pounds ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp flour

- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 pound ground lean beef
- 1 carrot, diced
- 4 tbsp Parmesan cheese

Dippy Bean Dip

This is one of my Mother's (Jeannette Costigan's) recipes
- 1 can (10 and 1/2 oz.) black bean soup
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat. Serve from small chafing dish as dip for potato chips or corn chips. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
Baked Rice and Vegetables in Broth

- 3/4 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 tbsp uncooked wild rice
- 1/4 cup uncooked brown rice
- 1/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh broccoli
- 1/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried onion flakes
- 1 tsp dried paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth
