- Crust:
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup gran. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 cups sifted flour
- Filling:
- 1 cup butter
- 2/3 c. dark Karo corn syrup
- 1 cup powd. sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 24 + pecan halves
Balsamic Cream Sauce

For the sauce, take 4 tablespoons of butter and melt in a saucepan over low heat
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 6 cloves of fresh chopped garlic
- 1/4 cup of cream
- 4 tablespoons of good quality balsamic vinegar.
- Sprig of fresh rosemary and reduce the sauce by about 1/3

- 2 teaspoons plus 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large or 2 small bell peppers (any color), stemmed, seeded and cut into small dice
