- Faux Pate:
- 2 1/2 pounds beef tenderloin
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (white button)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 2 tablespoons red wine
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup tightly packed fresh basil leaves and
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves and
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Linguine with Shrimp Scampi is easy to make and tastes like it is a lot of work
- Vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt plus 1 1/2 teaspoons
- 3/4 pound linguine
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons good olive oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic, about 4 cloves
- 1 pound large shrimp, about 16 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 1/2 lemon, zest grated
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 2 lemons
- 1/4 lemon, thinly sliced in half-rounds
- 1/8 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes

- 35 ounces kosher salt (about 1 tablespoon)
- 35 ounces (about 2 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1.125 ounces Extra Virgin olive oil (about 3 tablespoons)
- 15 ounces lukewarm water
