Roasted Strawberry Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt

- 1 lb (455 grams) strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, sliced open lengthwise
- 1 1/2 cup (340 grams) plain greek or regular yogurt
Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies

1. Preheat oven to 350°F
- For the Cookies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups quick or old fashioned oatmeal
- For the Cream Filling:
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks)cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk or half and half
Orange Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour a 12-cup fluted bundt pan (or two 4x8 loaf pans)
- For the pound cake:
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for pan
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened, plus more for pan
- 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla (or plain) greek yogurt
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- For the glaze:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- For the frosting:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon milk
Apple Crumble Pie

Preheat the oven to 375 F
- filling:
- 5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped into 1/2 inch chunks
- 1/2 c. sugar
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 heaped tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon**
- dough:
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks of cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- You will need a 9" fluted tart pan with a removable bottom.
- This recipe is light on the cinnamon. If you prefer a stronger taste, add up to 1 teaspoon.

Sesame Noodles with Chicken and Broccoli

In a small mixing bowl whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar and sriracha, set aside
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 2 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sriracha
- 10 oz dry linguine fini, spaghetti or udon noodles
- 3 cups small diced fresh broccoli florets (8 oz)
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced into small strips (about 1 1/2-inches)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp canola or vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic (3 cloves)
- 1 Tbsp peeled and minced ginger

- Cake:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup Dutch Process Cocoa Powder (I used Hershey's Special Dark)
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- Filling:
- 14 oz bag sweetened, shredded coconut
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Frosting:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, slightly softened
- 1/3 cup cream of coconut (I buy this in a squeeze bottle with the drink mixers)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Ganache:
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup (you can use honey if you are opposed to corn syrup)
Chipotle Chicken Tortilla Soup
