Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil
- Kosher salt
- 1 1/2 (16-ounce) boxes lasagna noodles
- Olive oil
- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed, divided
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 (12-ounce) package cremini mushrooms, stems removed, caps sliced
- 1 zucchini, cut in 1/2 lengthwise and cut on the bias
- 2 cups ricotta
- 2 cups grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, divided
- 2 eggs
- 6 to 7 basil leaves, cut into chiffonade
- 1 recipe Chef Anne's All-Purpose Marinara Sauce, recipe follows
- 1 pound grated mozzarella
Preserved Lemons

What to buy: Look for lemons that don’t have any wax on the outside—organic lemons tend to be unwaxed
- 10 medium lemons (preferably organic, without a wax coating)
- 3/4 cup kosher salt
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 (4-inch) cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon whole coriand
Lime Vinaigrette

Combine all ingredients in a blender jar and blend until smooth
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil, olive oil or a mixture of the two
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest (colored rind only)
- 1/2 cup packed cilantro, thick lower stems broken off
- Fresh hot green chile to taste (I like 2 serranos or 1 jalapeno), stemmed and roughly chopped (optional)
- 1 scant teaspoon salt

Add butter to a large skillet or dutch oven over medium high heat
- ■2 Tablespoons Butter
- ■2-1/2 pounds Ground Beef
- ■1/2 whole Large Onion, Diced
- ■1 whole Large Green Bell Pepper, Diced
- ■5 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ■1-1/2 cup Ketchup
- ■1 cup Water
- ■2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- ■2 teaspoons Chili Powder (more To Taste)
- ■1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- ■1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (more To Taste)
- ■ Worcestershire Sauce, To Taste
- ■2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste (optional)
- ■ Tabasco Sauce (optional; To Taste)
- ■ Salt To Taste
- ■ Freshly Ground Black Pepper, To Taste

Teriyaki Sauce

Sauce Combine ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sweet rice wine
- 1 tablespoon, plus 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced ginger
- Glaze:
- 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Isabel's Famous Salad Dressing

- 1 tsp organic yellow mustard, or Dijon mustard
- Garlic powder
- Celtic Sea Salt
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Organic extra virgin olive oil
- Raw parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Oriental Chicken Salad with Crunchy Ramen Noodles

1 Prepare dressing and set aside
- 2 -3 cups chopped cooked chicken breasts (depending on the amount of chicken you like)
- 1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped
- 1 bunch green onion, finely chopped (or to taste)
- 2 (2 1/2 ounce) packages slivered almonds
- 3 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 2 packages Top Ramen noodles or 2 packages other ramen-type soup
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Dressing
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil or 3/4 cup canola oil
- 4 1/2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
- 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
