- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp corn syrup
- 1 loaf Texas Toast bread or other thick sliced bread (I just bought French bread and cut into thick slices)
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb sausage
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups part skim ricotta cheese

- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese

Beef Stew

Paula Deen's Old Time Beef Stew
- 2 pounds stew beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 1 or 2 bay leaves
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Dash ground allspice or ground cloves
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 3 ribs celery, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped

In a large saucepan, combine the water, ham, carrot and onion
- 2 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup diced carrot
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2-3 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups mild cheddar, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella, shredded (or substitute more cheddar)
- 1 1/2 cups cooked ham, cubed

Kona Inn banana bread recipe
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 mashed bananas, very ripe
- 4 well beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 1/2 c. flour
