Crispy Orange Beef

1. Mix the flank steak, baking soda, and 3 tablespoons of water in a medium bowl
- SAUCE:
- 8 ounces flank steak, cut into pieces 1 inch long, ½ inch wide, and ¼ inch thick
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 orange, zested
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Vegetable oil, for passing through
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 large egg white, lightly beaten
- 3 scallions, white part only, trimmed and sliced diagonally into ½-inch pieces (1/2 cup)
- 1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier (or 1 teaspoon orange extract)
- ¼ teaspoon hot chili paste
Cake: Red Velvet Cake

Preheat oven to 325. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 Tablespoons unsweetened, cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 cup of prepared hot chocolate (cocoa mix with warm water)
- 16 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese, cut into 8 pieces, softened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
Creamy Cucumber Dill Salad

Peel and slice thin cuc's and then sprinkle salt on them
- 1 Hothouse (seedless) cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 medium sweet yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup miracle whip
- Approximately 3/4 cup of half-n-half, to thin out miracle whip
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. of dried dill weed
- 2 Tbls. of apple cider vinegar
Cookie Cups: Brownie Chocolate Chip

Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a mini muffin pan with cookie spray or Crisco
- For the Crust:
- 16 oz chocolate wafer cookie
- 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- For the Cookie Dough: (Try to half dough - had a lot left over)
- 1 C (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 C Sugar
- 3/4 C Light brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 3 tbsp Pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 C Flour
- 1 pkg (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding (dry mix)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1-2 tbsp Milk
- 3/4 C chocolate chips
- For the frosting:
- 1 C (2 sticks) Unsalted butter, room temperature
- 4 tbsp Brownie mix (dry mix)
- 4 tbsp Cocoa powder (maybe try more dry brownie mix for more brownie flavor)
- 4 C Powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Milk or heavy cream
Nabisco Nutter Butter

Preheat the oven to 325°F
- Cookies:
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned Quaker oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. fine graham cracker crumbs
Dip: Onion Dip from Scratch

In a saute pan over medium heat add oil, heat and add onions and salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups diced onions
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1. Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 350°
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup roasted, salted peanuts
- 16 tablespoons (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 large eggs, room temperature

- 96 Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses (from two 1-pound bags), wrappers removed

- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1” chunks)
- Oil (for deep frying)

- salt & pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoon ginger (minced)
