- 1 cup (130 grams) Heath Bits 'O Brickle or other nut brickle

Pasta with Mushrooms and Artichokes

Place the olive oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat
- 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 pound mushrooms, trimmed, cleaned and finely chopped

Tea Cake Cranberry Cake With Hot Butter Sauce

- 2 TBSP. butter (no sustitutes)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1-7/8 cups flour

- 1/2 tsp. salt

Apple Bread Pudding

Butter a 2-quart baking dish
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 About 6 cups 1/2-inch-cubed challah bread
- 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Jalapeno Pepper Jelly Recipe No Pectin

Using natural ingredients to replace pectin
- 4 lbs of tart apples (e.g. Granny Smith, or wine sap), unpeeled, chopped into big pieces, including the cores
- 6 jalapeño chili peppers, sliced in half lengthwise, the seeds and ribs removed from 3 of them (for mildly hot jelly. If you want a hotter jelly leave the seeds and ribs in all of them.)
- 1 red bell pepper seeds and ribs removed, chopped
- 1 cup cranberries
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups white vinegar
- 3 1/2 cups sugar (7/8 cup for each cup of juice)
Fried Chicken in Onion Oil

Soak chicken pieces in salted water (1 tablespoon of salt per quart of water) for at least 1 hour

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 2 large onions, thickly sliced

- 3 cups cake flour (not self rising)
- 2 heaping tsp Baking Powder
- 3 sticks (1.5 cups) salted butter
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- .5 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 8 large egg whites
- 1 1/3 cups shredded sweetened coconut
- frosting of your choice (I'll cover this later)
- toasted coconut for garnishing (optional)
Dried Fruit and Nut Loaf

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and place the rack in the center of the oven
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 cups coarsely chopped walnuts (can also use pecans, hazelnuts, or almonds)
- 1/2 cup dried cherries and/or cranberries
- 2 cups dates and figs, pits removed and cut into quarters
- 1/2 cup dried apricots, cut into quarters
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
