Strawberry Rhubarb Calzone

Add all the filling ingredients to a sauce pot and bring up to a simmer
- FOR THE FILLING:
- 3 pounds fresh rhubarb, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 2 pints fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- FOR THE DOUGH:
- You may use store bought pizza dough.
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 prepared pizza dough rounds, about 4 ounces each
- 1/2 cup crystal sugar
- 1 tablespoon anise seed
- 1 egg, beaten with splash water
Apple Skillet Pancake

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced 1/4-inch thick
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

- 1 (14.5 oz.) package gingerbread mix
- 1/2 cup half and half (can substitute milk)
- pinch of cinnamon
- pinch of ground ginger
- 1/2 cup golden raisins

- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Squeeze the juice of one orange and one lemon, making sure there are no seeds
- 2 oranges
- 2 lemons
- 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped into small pieces
- 1/2 red apple, cored and chopped into small pieces

- 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 1/2 pound (1 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

- 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
- 2 1/4 cups (295 grams) all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (226 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups (400 grams) granulated white sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- Frosting:
- 5 ounces (140 grams) unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, softened and cut into pieces
- 4 cups (1 pound) (454 grams) confectioners (powdered or icing) sugar, sifted to remove lumps
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
