This recipe is easily halved
- 1 cup (5 ounces) cornmeal, plus extra for dusting
- 2 cups warm water (110 degrees)
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 5 1/2 cups (27 1/2 ounces) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon instant or rapid-rise yeast
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
Barbecue Beef Cups

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- 3/4 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup barbeque sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- 1 (12 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Beef Rib Eye and Vegetable Stew

Heat a large skillet. Add the oil and heat until wisps of smoke appear
- Garlic Cream Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 pounds boneless beef rib eye, trimmed of visible fat and cut into 1-inch chunks

- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Texas Breakfast Tacos with Chorizo

- 12 large eggs
- Salt and pepper
- 8 ounces Mexican-style chorizo sausage, casings removed
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 jalapeño chile, stemmed, seeded, and minced

- Jalapeno Popper Style:
- 1 pkg Cream Cheese, softened*
- 1 small can of diced jalapenos
- 1 tube of crescent rolls
- 1 package of cocktail smokies
- you could also swap out the cream cheese and jalapeno for pimento cheese.
- Sausage and Biscuit Pigs in a Blanket:
- Twelve 4-inch links breakfast sausage
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- Kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, frozen in 1 piece

- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Cream Cheese Wontons with Spicy Dipping Sauce

- For Sauce:
- 1 lb cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 ounces fresh green onions, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg lightly beaten with a tsp of water
- 18 wonton wrappers
- As needed oil for frying
- 6 ounces soy sauce
- 3 ounces mirin
- 3 ounces seasoned rice wine vinegar
- 4 ounces cane sugar (if not available use raw sugar)
- 1 tsp fresh cilantro, rough chopped
- 1 tsp fresh green onions, rough chopped
