This Skillet Puff Pastry Chicken Pot Pie is a new family favorite
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/4 lbs chicken breast tenderloins
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 large carrots cut in thin rounds
- 1 large russet potato cut in small cubes
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/3 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 1/4 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup frozen baby peas
- Salt & pepper to taste.
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed; follow directions carefully on box to thaw)

Chocolate Strawberry Nutella Cake

I made this cake on a whim
- Cake
- 2 sticks Butter
- 4 Tablespoons (heaping) Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-1/2 cup Nutella
- Strawberries
- 2 pints Strawberries, Hulled And Sliced
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- Whipped Cream
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- Variation
- Halve all the quantities to make a 1-layer cake if you’d like something a little smaller.
- Double all the quantities to make a 4-layer cake if you’d like to make an impression! (Cautionary Tale: See photo near the top of this post.)
- Substitute blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries (or a combination thereof) for the strawberries.
