Lemon Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 350F Spray or butter and flour 2 loaf pans or one large Bundt pan
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup shortening, room temperature
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 6 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 lemon, zested
Pat's Creme Brulee

Mix egg yolks and granulated sugar in a bowl
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 vanilla bean
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- dash salt
- 1/3-1/2 cup raw brown sugar

1) Preheat the oven to 350F
- DOUGH
- 3 ounces butter
- 4 3/4 ounces granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 8 1/2 ounces All-Purpose Flour
- 3/8 ounce cocoa powder, Dutch-process preferred
- 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder
- 3 ounces chocolate chips, mini chips preferred
- 2 tablespoons coarse white sparkling sugar, for topping (optional)
- GLAZE (optional)
- 3 ounces confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 ounce water
Won Ton Soup

Combine all the filling ingredients in a bowl, mixing well
- Filling:
- 18 - 24 won ton wrappers
- 1/2 pound boneless lean pork, chopped finely
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- a few drops sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sherry
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 green onion, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 dashes of white pepper
- Other:
- Water for boiling won tons
- 4 1/2 - 5 cups chicken stock
- green onion, thinly sliced, as desired
- a few drops sesame oil (optional)
