- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2-2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp oil
Rhubarb Pie

1.Peel rhubarb and pour boiling water over it
- 3 cups rhubarb
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp flour
Mars Bars Squares

1. Melt the mars bars over low heat with the margarine
- 4 mars bars
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 cups rice krispies
- 1 cup of coconut
- Topping
- 1/4 cup margarine

Effie's Oatcakes

- 1 cup molassas
- 1 cup white sugar

- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 4 cups flour

- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cape Breton Oatcakes

1. Cut the shortening into the dry ingredients that have been mixed together
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cups sugar plus 2 tbsp
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cups shortening
- 3/4 cups water plus 1 tbsp if needed.
Peanut Butter Balls

Mix together around cherries and roll in fine coconut

Pat's Fish Chowder

- 1 can baby clams
- scallops salt and pepper to taste
- cream of celery soup
- sliced mushrooms
- milk, coffee cream or blend to your desired thickness ( or just one of the three )
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp cheese whiz
