Sour Cream Doughnuts

Anna Olson Classic Recipe
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- dash ground nutmeg
- vegetable oil for frying
- icing sugar for dusting
- or cinnamon sugar for coating
Tropical Chicken Pizza

A variation of our favourite pizza found at Boston Pizza
- 1 Pizza Shell
- 1/4 Cup Alfredo Sauce
- 1 Cup Mozerella Cheese, Grated
- 1 Cheddar Cheese, Grated
- 2 Cooked Chopped Chicken Breasts covered in Frank's Red Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup finely chopped
- Chopped Uncooked Bacon (or partially cooked)
- 1/2 Can Pineapple
- Hot Pepper rings to taste
Whole-wheat puzza dough

Avoid fast-food fatty pizzas by freezing balls of dough or, even more convenient shells
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 packets active yeast
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour (plus more for kneading)
- 2 cups whole-wheat flour
Real Red Velvet cupcakes

This recipe is amazing, I recommend using beet juice or the light cocoa rather than food colouring
- 2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 oz. red food coloring (two bottles) or 4 oz beet juice (if you use unprocessed light cocoa you can leave out the food dyes and you'll get a warm red/brown color)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Marscarpone Icing

1.In a bowl, beat the mascarpone, icing sugar, cream and lemon zests together until the mixture is smooth
- 2 cups mascarpone (500 ml)
- 1 cup icing sugar, sifted (250 ml)
- 1/2 cup 35% cream (125 ml)
- Zest of 1 lemon
Hamburger and Corn Casserole

- 4 pounds ground beef
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 3 12-ounce cans whole kernel corn
- 3 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
- 3 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups dairy sour cream
- 3/4 cup chopped pimiento
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons monosodium glutamate
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 9 cups medium noodles, cooked, drained
Chicken and Mushroom Pie

A tasty dish for a cold winter day
- 25 g butter
- 225 g button mushrooms, halved
- 1 heaping cup mascarpone or full-fat cream cheese
- 150 ml low-fat milk
- ½ teaspoon spicy mustard
- 3 ⅓ cups diced cooked chicken, about 500 g
- 2 tablespoons snipped fresh chives
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry
Grasshopper Pie

- CRUST
- Butter (or hard margarine) 1/3 cup 75 mL
- Chocolate wafer crumbs 1 1/4 cups 300 mL
- FILLING
- Milk 1/2 cup 125 mL
- Large marshmallows 24 24
- Mint liqueur, green 1/4 cup 60 mL
- Chocolate liqueur, clear 2 tbsp. 30 mL
- Whipping cream (or 1 envelope of dessert 1 cup 250 mL
- topping, prepared)
Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies

Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder
- 5 (1250 ml) cups blended oatmeal
- 2 (500 ml) cups butter
- 2 (500 ml) cups brown sugar
- 2 (500 ml) cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. (10 ml) vanilla
- 4 (1000 ml) cups flour
- 2 tsp. (10 ml) Bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp. (5 ml) salt
- 2 tsp. (10 ml) baking powder
- 680 g chocolate chips
- 500 g Your favourite fine chocolate (white/dark/milk)cut
- into small chunks or grated
Fantasy Pavlova

Heat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and mark a circle about 16cm diameter with a plate
- 6 egg whites, preferably free range, at room temperature
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups castor sugar
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1 tsp vinegar

- 3 punnets fresh mixed berries
