Standing Rib Roast

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F
- 2 heads roasted garlic
- 3 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 1 standing rib roast of beef (about 6 1/2 pounds), fat trimmed in 1 strip and reserved
- 1 1/2 cups red wine, plus 1 more cup if making au jus, optional
- 1/2 cup beef stock, plus 2 more cups if making au jus, optional
Seared Halibut with Winter Fruit Vinaigrette

1. In a small bowl, stir together shallots, 2 teaspoons lemon juice and ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 tablespoons finely diced shallot
- Juice of ½ a lemon plus 2 teaspoons additional juice
- 1½ tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
- ½ cup diced fuyu persimmon, ½-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1 medium fennel bulb, thinly sliced, about 3 cups
- ¼ medium head radicchio torn into bite-size pieces, about 1 cup loosely packed
- 6 5-ounce Alaskan halibut fillets, about 1-1¼-inch thick
- Salt
Four Bean Salad

Drain beans and combine the dressing ingredients and pour over beans
- 1 lb can green beans
- 1 lb can wax beans
- 1 lb can dark red kidney beans
- 1 lb can garbanzo beans
- Sliced red onion
- Dressing
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup salad oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
French Donuts

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs
- Donut:
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup (1 cube) melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Rice Krispie Treats

Melt margarine in large sauce pan over low heat
- 3 T butter
- 4 cups miniature marshmallows or 40 large marshmallows
- 5 cups crisp rice cereal
Raspberry Martini

Mix in a martini shaker
- 1 shot of Bicardi Razz
- 1 shot of Triple Sec
- Splash of 7-up
- 1/2 squeezed lemon
Bubba's Jambalaya

Heat a large pot over medium-high heat
- 6 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 pound cubed cooked ham
- 1/2 pound cubed cooked chicken
- 1/2 pound cubed smoked sausage
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes, with liquid
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 cups uncooked white rice
- 1/2 pound salad shrimp
Macaroni and Cheese

Cook macaroni in boiling salted water till tender, drain
- 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
- 3 T butter
- 2 T flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Dash pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 8 oz American Cheese, cubed
- Sliced tomato (optional)
Taco Pie

In frying pan brown ground beef, adding onion , tomato sauce, seasoning and olives
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 medium chopped onion
- 8 oz can tomato sauce (I usually only use 4 oz)
- 1 package (1.25 oz) taco seasoning
- 1/3 cup sliced olives
- 8 oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups crushed corn chips (I use half the amount)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Batter Bowl Cake

- 2-4 cups icing
