Pecan Pie Cookies

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- 1 prepared single pie crust (homemade or purchased, I used Pillsbury)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Optional
- 1/4 cup semi sweet or milk chocolate chip for decorating
Short Ribs Braised in Red Wine

Preheat oven to 350°F. Season short ribs with salt and pepper
- 5 pound bone-in beef short ribs, cut crosswise into 2" pieces
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

- 1 head of garlic, halved crosswise
- 4 cups low-salt beef stock

- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 large shallot, chopped
