Decadent Brownies:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F
- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter, plus more, softened, for pan
- 1 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Sugar Cookie

Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
Sicilian Fig Cookies

Directions Make the dough: Pulse the flour, sugar and salt in a food processor

- Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
- 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- For the Filling:
- 1 cup whole almonds, toasted
- 1 cup dried figs, stemmed
- Finely grated zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder (natural or Dutch-process)
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
- 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice

- 1 large head romaine or Bibb lettuce, rinsed and patted dry

- 1/2 pound Roma plum tomatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes

- 1 to 2 avocados, peeled, pitted, and diced

- 1/2 c. crisco
- dash of salt
- 1 c. flour
- stir into ball
- 4 eggs
- 1 at a time beating
- spoon on ungreased cookie sheet
- 400 D for 30 min's

- 1 ) 5 T. corn starch
- 2 ) 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 ) 1/8 t. salt
- 4 ) 2 c. scalded milk
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 T. butter
- 1/4 t. almond extract
- 2 egg yolks
- mix 1,2,& 3
- add 4 & stir in & boil until thick
- add vanilla etc. & pour into puffs
Taco Salad

In med. skillett, brown beef, stirring to keep crumbly
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 med. lettuce torn in pieces
- 2 med tomaoe's chopped
- 1 med. onion
- 1 Avacodo chopped - 1 cup
- 1 cup shredded chedder cheese
- 2 cups taco flavored torritta chips
- about 5 1/2 oz pkg of coarsely crushed
- 1/4 cut creamy French Dressing
- 1 can of Kidney Beans
Pumpkin Pie Bars 350 D

With mixer beat margarine and sugar until creamy
- 2/3 cup Fleischmann's Margaine softened.
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. Planters Walnuts, finely chopped & divided
- 1 (16oz) can solid pack pumpkin
- 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Powered sugar glaze optional

- 3 T horseradish
- 1/2 t. Worshtershire sauce
- 2 t. lemon juice
- 1/4 t. hot sauce
