Granola

Marion Teabo's niece gave her some of this granola for a present and Marion shared it with me
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2/3 cups light brown sugar
- 2/3 cup honey
- 6 cups old fashioned oatmeal
- 3 cups sliced almonds
- 2 cups unsweetened coconut
- 1 1/2 cups dried fruit, such as cranberries, raisins, apricots
Never-fail Dumplings

- 1 medium egg
- 6 tablespoons cold water

New England Corn Chowder

- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 15 1/4 oz cans whole kernel corn, drained
- 2 14 3/4 oz cans cream-style corn
- 4 cups milk
- 3 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3-4 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
- 4 cups cubed potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup snipped fresh parsley
- salt and ground black pepper

Simple Scones

Adjust oven rack to lower middle position and preheat to 400 degrees
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 stick frozen unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup sour cream

Potato Salad

This is a great potato salad that I first had when I met Les Guthrie and had dinner with his family
- 4 pounds potatoes
- (you can use new potatoes, old potatoes,
- red potatoes, yukon gold)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- salt and pepper to taste

- cider vinegar

- (they used to be about .60 cents a box, now they are about $3.00)
- 1 stick of melted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 eggs, well beaten

Aunt Snookie's Pudding Cake

- Use a tube pan for this
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 lb margarine or butter melted
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 box instant vanilla or lemon pudding
