  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 TBS unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 TBS cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • Frosting:
  • 3/4 cups unsalted pistachios shelled
  • 1/2 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2-3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/1-2 drops green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup unsalted pistachios shelled and chopped (for garnish)
  • Ganache:
  • 1 ounce semisweet chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tablespoon light corn syrup
