SPINACH DIP

Perfect for parties. Serve either in a bread bowl or as a dip for veggies
- 1 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 pkg. Knorr Swiss vegetable soup mix
- 1 cup light mayonnaise
- 1 cup light sour cream
BRISKET MADE WITH COKE

Marinate brisket overnight
- 7-9 LB brisket
- 2 litres of diet coke
- 1 pkg of dry onion soup
- 1/4-1/2 cup of ketchup
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 carrots sliced
- 2 parsnips sliced
- 2-3 garlic cloves
SPLIT PEA AND BARLEY SOUP

In large sauce pan combine peas, onion, carrot, celery, garlic and 6 cups of broth
- 1 1/2 cup dried split peas
- 1/2 medium onion chopped
- 1 lg. carrot, diced
- 1 rib celery, diced
- 1 lg clove garlic, minced
- 7 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup uncooked barley
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- white pepper to taste
CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA CAKE

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 9" X 13" baking pan
- Cake
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 ripe mashed bananas
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 tsps. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Topping
- 1 pkg. (175 grams) chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
GEFILTE FISH

- First Bowl
- 1 grated then chopped large carrot
- 1 choppped small onion
- 1/4 cup oil
- Second Bowl
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 4 tbsp matzoh meal
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 lbs chopped fish
OLD FASHIONED APPLE CAKE

Mix batter ingredients together and place in a bowl
- Cake
- 2 oz. orange juice
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 sugar
- 2/3 cup canola oil
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- Filling
- 6-8 empire apples sliced
- sugar and cinnamon
SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS

children's favourite recipe
- Meat Balls:
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp horseradish
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 lbs (750g) lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
- Sauce:
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup grape jelly
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chilli sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 3 tbsp flour
DIJON MUSTARD SAUCE

Mix all ingredients together and chill, do not freeze
- 3/4 tbsp. dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp. light mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 3-4 drops lemon juice
PIE CRUST

can be used sweet or salty
- Mix in Pie Plate:
- 1 1/2 cups velvet pastry flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Mix together in Measuring Cup:
- 1/2 cup mazola oil
- 3 tbsp. milk
- Beat these together with a fork till creamy.
POACHED SALMON

- Salmon:
- Large salmon side (Costco) cleaned and skinned
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup coarse chopped leeks (white only)
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped dill
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Dill Sauce:
- cooked dill, parsley, leeks
- 2 tbsp. low fat yougurt
- 2 tbsp. light mayo
- salt and pepper to taste
- Dijon Mustard Sauce:
- 2 tbsp light mayo
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3-4 drops lemon juice
- 3/4 tbsp dijon mustard
