Sour Cream-Maple Bread

This bread boasts subtle flavors of butter and sour cream with discreet overtones of maple syrup
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 Tbs. (1 stick) unsalted butter, at
- room temperature
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Awesome Pound Cake

This a wonderful rich cake, it is named for the pound of sugar and the pound of butter it contains
- 3 cups cake flour
- 6 large eggs
- 1 pound butter
- 1 pound sugar
- 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain
- 8 ounces uncooked linguine
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 6 ounces bay scallops
- 6 ounces peeled and deveined medium shrimp
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 to 1/2 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can petite-cut diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 cup clam juice
- 12 littleneck clams
- 12 mussels, scrubbed and debearded
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
