  • 6 cups hot mashed sweet potatoes (prepared without milk and butter)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 18 large marshmallows
  • Directions
  • ●In a large bowl, beat the sweet potatoes, milk, butter, brown sugar, egg, cinnamon, vanilla, allspice, salt and nutmeg until smooth.
  • ●Transfer to a greased shallow 2-1/2-qt. baking dish.
  • ●Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until heated through.
  • ●Top with marshmallows. (The picture showed the marshmallows around the edges of the casserole. About 1/3 was left without marshmallows in the middle.)
  • ● Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until marshmallows just begin to puff and brown.

  • Directions:
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry milk powder
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ●Place water, flour, powdered milk, sugar, salt, butter or margarine, tomatoes, and yeast into bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Set to Dough cycle, and start the machine. Dough will be 1/2 pound.
  • ●When the bread machine has finished the Dough cycle, take the dough out. Knead for 1 minute by hand. Place in an oiled bowl, and turn a few times to coat the surface of the dough. Cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
  • ●Dust a 10 x 15 inch baking tray with cornmeal. Roll out dough to fit the pan. Make indentations in the dough with your finger tips. Brush top surface with oil, and cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  • ●Sprinkle with parmesan, rosemary, garlic salt, and mozzarella.
  • ●Bake at 400 degree F (205 degrees C) for 15 minutes, or until nicely browned. Cool slightly, and cut into squares for serving.

  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 . Place buttermilk, butter or margarine, sugar, salt, flour, whole wheat flour, and yeast into pan of bread machine.
  • 2 . Bake on White Bread setting. Cool on wire racks before slicing.

  • 2 c. crushed graham crackers
  • 6 T. butter, melted
  • 6 T. powdered sugar
  • Directions:
  • Combine to make crust. Spread in bottom of square casserole dish.
  • Layer 2:
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • Directions:
  • Combine and mix for 10 minutes; pour over first layer.
  • Layer 3:
  • 3-5 bananas
  • Directions:
  • Slice bananas length-wise and place over second layer
  • Layer 4:
  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • Directions:
  • Spread pineapple over third layer.
  • Layer 5:
  • 1 (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • Directions:
  • Spread Cool Whip over 4th layer
  • Layer 6:
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 c. cherries, chopped
  • 1 (24 oz) bottle Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • Directions:
  • Spread pecans and cherries over fifth layer and chill.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over cake just before serving.

  • Directions:
  • 4 T. bacon drippings
  • 2-3 heaping T. flour
  • 1 c. pealed, chopped tomatoes
  • 2-3 c. cold water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Heat bacon drippings in heavy skillet; add flour, salt and pepper.
  • Stir to mix and continue stirring until evenly browned (medium to dark brown, being careful not burn).
  • Add tomatoes; stir quickly.
  • Carefully add water.
  • Reduce heat and cook until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 additional minutes or until biscuits are golden brown

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup sliced stuffed olives, if desired
  • 1 can (10 to 12 oz) refrigerator biscuits
  • 1 . In a skillet, brown ground beef and onions. Drain off fat. In a large bowl combine softened cream cheese, soup and milk. Add salt, ketchup and olives. Mix well and add ground beef mixture.
  • 2 . Pour into a 2 quart casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • 3 . Remove casserole from oven and place biscuits on top of casserole around edge. If desired, top with olive slices.

  • FROSTING:
  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1/2 or 4 oz sour cream
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 T. veg oil
  • 2 c. crushed Oreos (about 18)
  • ●Preheat oven to 350F.
  • ●Mix cake mix, sour cream, milk, egg whites and oil with low speed mixer for 2-3 minutes.
  • ●Stir in 1 1/2 c. of Oreos.
  • ●Grease and flour 2 round cake pans.
  • Bake at 30-35 min until done. Cool completely.
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 T. corn starch
  • 1/2 c. veg shortening
  • 4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • ●Mix milk and corn starch. Cook over low heat wisking whole time until thick. Set aside and let cool.
  • ●In another bowl, combine shortening and powdered sugar. Mix until light and fluffy.
  • ●In mixer, mix in milk mixture 1 cup at a time until get right consistency. Add vanilla.

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 12 thick slices bread
  • Directions
  • ●Measure flour into a large mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.
  • ●Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  • ●Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Serve hot.

  • 3 C. loosely packed fresh basil leaves, washed and drained
  • ½ C. chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • ½ C. pine nuts or pecans
  • 1 C. freshly grated Asiago cheese or Parmesan
  • 1 tea. fresh oregano
  • ½ tea. pepper
  • ½ to 1/3 C. olive oil
  • ●Combine all ingredients in a blender, adding enough olive oil to make a thick smooth sauce.
  • ●Add salt to taste.
