  • Directions:
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • ●In a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
  • ●In a blender or food processor, combine the lemon juice, ketchup, sugar, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, mustard, onion powder and garlic powder; cover and process until smooth.
  • ●While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream. Process until thickened.
  • ●Transfer to a bowl; stir in cornstarch mixture.
  • ●Cover and store in the refrigerator.
  • Yield: 2 cups.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup 2% milk
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts, divided
  • 1 package (14 ounces) caramels
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • Directions
  • ●In a large bowl, beat the sugar, cocoa, oil, eggs and milk.
  • ●Combine the flour, salt and baking powder; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended.
  • ● Fold in chocolate chips and 1/2 cup walnuts.
  • ●Spoon two-thirds of the batter into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes.
  • ●Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat the caramels and condensed milk over low heat until caramels are melted. Pour over baked brownie layer. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
  • ●Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over caramel layer; carefully swirl brownie batter with a knife.
  • ●Bake 35-40 minutes longer or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 2 ounces canned diced jalapeno peppers, drained
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Directions
  • ● Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles
  • and jalapeno peppers.
  • ● Pour mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • ● Microwave on High until hot, about 3 minutes.

  • 18 lg. marshmallows
  • 1 block unsweetened chocolate (I used ½ block)
  • 1/4 pt. of whipping cream
  • Keebler's ready-made chocolate crust
  • cool whip
  • ●Melt the Hershey bars, chocolate, milk and marshmallows in a double boiler.
  • ●Cool and add 1/4 pt. or so of whipping cream.
  • ●Pour into crust.
  • ●Top with cool whip and chocolate shavings.

  • Topping:
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • Directions:
  • ●Mix first 8 ingredients in the order given. Beat well for 5 minutes.
  • ●Pour in a 9 x 13 cake pan.
  • ●Sprinkle 1/2 c. granulated sugar and cinnamon over top and then chocolate chips.

  • VANILLA GLAZE:
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1-1/3 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup 2% milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup finely diced peeled apple
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons 2% milk
  • Directions:
  • ●In a large bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and milk.
  • ●Combine the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts, apple and raisins.
  • ●Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • ●Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove to wire racks.
  • ●In a small bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar, butter, vanilla, salt and enough milk to achieve drizzling consistency. Drizzle over warm cookies.

  • Directions:
  • 2 lbs. hamburger meat
  • 1/2-1 onion, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 3 T. brown sugar
  • ●Saute meat and onion until browned and drain.
  • ●Mix meat with remaining ingredients except for ketchup and brown sugar and put into baking dish.
  • ●Mix 1/4 c. ketchup and 3 T. brown sugar and spread on top of meat loaf.
  • ●Bake uncovered at 350 F. for 1 hour.
