Mix all ingredients for 2 minutes
- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsp almond flavor
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp butter flavor
- 1 1/2 Tbsp poppy seeds
- Frosting
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp butter flavor
- 1/2 tsp almond
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

- Sauce:
- 3 tbsp liquid egg
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tsp salt

Brown hamburger and onion
- 2 lbs hamburger
- 1 small onion
- 15 oz Grimes chili beans
- 16 oz refried beans
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tbs molasses
- 2 c water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 2 tbsp chili powder
Honey Mustard Dressing

Mix all together and store in air tight container
- 3 gallons Mayonaise
- 3 5 pound jars honey
- 1 cup dry mustard
- 1 1/2 cups regular mustard
Classic Beef Stew Recipe

Season the beef very generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 lbs boneless beef chuck roast, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt, plus more as needed
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 yellow onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups cold beef stock or broth
- 3 carrots, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, peeled, cut into large chunks
- fresh parsley to garnish, optional

- 1 28 oz can whole tomatoes with juice *see note
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 jalapeño, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 lime, juiced
Aunt Virginia's Peppernuts Cookies

Before you start, be sure to crush up anise seed and pour boiling water on it
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cup oleo
- 1 1/4 dark Karo syrup
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 Tbsp anise seed
- 2 Tbsp boiling water
- 4 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
Homestyle Potato Salad

This Homestyle Potato Salad recipe is tried and true
- 5 medium potatoes (red potatoes taste the best)
- 8 eggs, hard boiled (save 2 eggs to use for garnish on salad)
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. Mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip)
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- mustard, to taste
- 1/2 c. sweet pickle relish (or 5 to 6 diced baby dill pickles, if you don't like it sweet)
