Ingredients
- 4 pound bonless chuck roast
- 1 cup beef stock (or water)
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat crockpot on high
In a hot frying pan, brown roast on all sides
Stir together stock (or water), onion soup mix and mushroom soup to make gravy
Pour a little gravy into the bottom of preheated crockpot and place the browned roast into the crockpot. Pour the rest of the gravy over the top of the roast
Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, them on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove roast to serving platter, and skim fat from gravy. Serve the roast with the delicious mushroom gravy
