Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground turkey
- 1 large jar salsa, mild or medium
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 red peppers, chopped
- 1 28-ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 packages chili seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Saute onion and pepper for approximately 5 minutes, seasoning with salt & pepper.
Add ground turkey to pan with the vegetables and cook until meat is no longer pink, approximately 7 minutes, breaking up meat with the back of a spoon. Season meat with salt & pepper.
Add two packets of dry chili seasoning and combine with the meat mixture.
Mix the salsa and sauce together and add to the turkey mixture.
Simmer for 20-25 minutes, Serve over rice or egg noodles.
