Lamb Meatball Gyros with Yogurt and Mint

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 bunch scallions (white and green parts), sliced
  • 4 pieces flat bread
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint



Step 1

Heat broiler. Combine all thru 3/4 of scallions, shape into golf ball sized meatballs, place on foil lined baking sheet. Broil, turning once until cooked through, 6-8 min. Divide flat breads onto plates, top with meatballs, yogurt, mint and remaining scallions...
