Cake Mix Cookie Bars

Lilluna ~ I have made these 2 different ways. I made it as written which the boys liked, but I didn’t because I’ve learned that I don’t like M&Ms! The second time I made it with just chocolate chips which the boys liked equally.

Cookies and cake mix are a fantastic combination. Try this easy Cake Mix Cookie Bar recipe.

Ingredients

• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
• 1/4 cup water
• 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
• 1 cup mini M&Ms, divided, or 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding, water, oil, & eggs using a mixer. Mix until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips & 1/2 cup M&Ms or just the chocolate chips if not using M&Ms.

Pour into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle remaining M&Ms over top if using them.

Bake 24 to 28 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. (24 minutes was perfect for me)
