Amish Style Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 4 slices uncooked bacon
  • 1 cup diced onion (to taste)
  • 1 16oz can of: kidney beans, butter beans, and navy beans (drained)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat 350 degrees
lightly spray a 1 1/2 casserole dish with oil. Cook bacon, just until rendered it's fat, do not brown.
Add onion and cook until translucent.
Put onion, bacon in bowl. Mix ketchup, brown sugar and mustard in another bowl.
Combine with beans, mix, pour into casserole.
Cook 1 hour covered.
