CITRUS TRIFLE

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 1/2 oz) pineapple tidbits
  • 2 pkgs (3.4 oz each) vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 purchased pound cake (16 oz) cut into bite size pieces
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 Tbs orange flavord liqueur
  • (Toasted flaked coconut to garnish)

Preparation

Step 1

Drain pineapple, reserbing juice
Combine pudding mixes milk and 1/2 cup juice
Beat until well blended
Fold in sour cream, ranges, and drained pineapple.
Layer 1/3 of cake pieces in 3 qt. serving bowl.
Drizzle 1/3 of the juice over the cake.
Spoon 1/3 of the pudding mixture over cake.
Repeat layers twice
ending with pudding mixture.
Cover and Chill for at least 3 hours.
TO SERVE:
Coombine Cool Whip and liqueur.
Spread over top of trifle.Garnish with toasted coconut, if desired.
