Bubble Bread from the Bubble Room


Anyone having gone to the classic Florida restaurant will want to give this a try. If you've never been, trust me you won't be disappointed. Italian bread is smothered in butter, blue cheese and Swiss cheese, then broiled to a golden brown. DELICIOUS!

  • Italian bread
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened (not margarine)
  • 1 tablespoon crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Pinch pepper
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • Paprika
  • Parsley, chopped for garnish

Step 1

Split loaf of Italian bread lengthwise.

Mix butter, blue cheese, mayo, pepper, Swiss cheese, and ½ cup of the Parmesan together in a bowl.

Spread liberally on split loaf of Italian bread. Sprinkle remaining ¼ cup Parmesan cheese on top. Sprinkle with a bit of paprika and parsley for color.

Broil until golden brown.
