Ingredients
- 1/2 bushel pears
- 5 pounds sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Peel and core pears. Place in large kettle, pour sugar over them. Let sit overnight. Add a spice bag of cloves and cinnamon and cook over medium heat. Cook about 3 hours until the pears are dark and juice is syrupy. Check often and stir as they can burn. Can as usual.
