Grandma's Gingerbread
½ cup margarine
½ cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup molasses
2 ½ cups sifted flour
1 ½ tsps baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon, ginger, and cloves
Salt to taste
1 cup hot water
Whipped cream
Lemon Fondue Sauce
Cream Margarine and sugar. Add egg and molasses, blend well.
Stir dry ingredients together. Add to batter. Add hot water; beat until
smooth. Bake at 350 in 9x13 inch pan for 40 minutes. Serve warm topped
with whipped cream and lemon sauce
Lemon Sauce
Combine 2 ¼ cups water, 1 ½ cups confectiones sugar, 6 tab. Cornstarch,
and 12 inches of lemon rind strips, 1 ½ inches wide into a food processor.
Pour into saucepan, add ¾ cup butter and cook until mixture is thick and
shiny. Add 1 6 oz. can of frozen lemonade.
