  • 12 ounces orchiette pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound assorted wild mushrooms, stems trimmed, wiped clean, and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped shallots
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives

OK, so maybe it isn't the exact thing, but my kids seem to like it

  • For the patties:
  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons minced chives
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Hot sauce/Tabasco sauce to taste
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • For the onion rings:
  • 4 large sweet onions, peeled and sliced into thick rings
  • 1 cup eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper
  • 1 quart oil for frying
  • For the sandwich:
  • Hamburger buns (whatever you like) lightly toasted
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • American Cheese
  • Dill Pickle slices
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato

Bake these cheesy burgers and frozen hash browns in foil packets on the grill for easy cleanup

  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Progresso® plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix (from 1 oz package)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups frozen southern-style diced hash-brown potatoes (from 32-oz bag)
  • 1 cup Old El Paso® Cheese 'n Salsa dip
  • 1 . Heat gas or charcoal grill. In medium bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, taco seasoning mix and milk until well blended. Shape mixture into 4 (4-inch) patties. In another medium bowl, mix frozen
  • 2 . Cut 4 (18x12-inch) sheets of heavy-duty foil. Place 1 patty on each; top with 1/4 of potato mixture. Wrap each packet securely using double-fold seals, allowing room for heat expansion.
  • 3 . When grill is heated, place packets, seam side up, on grill over medium heat; cover grill. Cook 15 to 25 minutes, rearranging packets several times, until patties are thoroughly cooked.
  • High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Cook over medium-low heat 17 to 22 minutes.
  • Make the Most of This Recipe
  • You can also bake these burger packets in a 400°F oven. Prepare packets as directed. Then place packets, seam side up, in a 15x10-x1-inch pan. Bake 40 minutes or until burgers are thoroughly cooked.
