Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

1. Put ribs in broiler pan and broil for about 25 minutes, or until browned
- 3 lbs spareribs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
Creole Jambalaya

Directions Mix all ingredients, except shrimp and rice in 3 1/2 - 6 qt
- 1 C chopped onion
- 1 C green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 C chopped celery
- 3 cloves finely chopped garlic
- 1 (23 oz) can undrained diced tomatoes
- 2 C fully cooked smoked sausage, chopped
- 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper sauce
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 3/4 lb uncooked peeled deveined med. shrimp, thawed
- 4 cups hot cooked rice
Roasted Asparagus

- 2 pounds fresh asparagus
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- Pinch of garlic powder
