- 1/2 teaspoons, plus 1/4 cup sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup whole milk, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- Other Ingredients:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, divided in half, melted
- For the Icing:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions Combine dry ingredients in large bowl and whisk to combine
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt

- 3 T - saf-instant or rapid-rise yeast
- 1 T - brown sugar
- 3 t - salt
- 2/3 C - light olive oil
