Mix all ingredients together
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Homemade Bread

1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together warm water and honey until honey is dissolved
- 3 cups of warm water
- 2/3 cup honey
- 1 3/4 T active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 6 cups bread flour
Grandmother's Drop Sugar Cookie

Cream shortening and sugar
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 cups flour
Slow Cooker Bacon Garlic Pork Loin

1. Rub the tablespoon of canola oil and add salt and pepper to taste
- 3 lb pork loin
- 1 T canola oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 8 slices thick cut bacon
Pumpkin Cookies

Add eggs to pumpkin and mix well
- 1 large can pumpkin
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 3 tsp cinnamon*
- 1 tsp nutmeg*
- 1 tsp ginger*
- 6 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 T vanilla
- may use 5-6 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Peanut Butter Fudge

Melt the frosting. Add peanut butter, powdered sugar and vanilla

- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- nuts, if desired
Banana Bread

Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 2 bread pans
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp salad oil
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3 medium)
