chocolate syrup

mix cornstarch, water and cocoa
- 1 c water
- 2 c sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 c cocoa powder
cajun skillet bean casserole

Preheat oven 350. I always drizzle garlic with a tiny bit of oil to keep it from burning
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 celery stalk, chopped (optional-My husband doesn't like it. I do.)
- 2 green bell peppers
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne (optional-I don't like it. My husband does!)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 can whole, peeled tomatoes, chopped including juice
- 1 Tbls sugar
- 1 Tbls dijon mustard (Must use DIJON mustard)
- 1.5 to 2 cups cooked black-eyed peas
- 1 lg head garlic, horizontally split in half
- 4 med potatoes
- soy milk (or skim milk or whatever)
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste

Place the broth, soy sauce and ginger in a large pot over medium-high heat
- 64 oz low sodium chicken or vegetable broth
- 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger
- 2 cup baby bok choy, sliced
- or
- 2 cup Napa cabbage, sliced
- 2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced on the diagonal
- 8 (16 oz) extra-firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 6 oz ramen noodles, flavor packet discarded
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, mint or basil, chopped
- 6 oranges, mint or basil, chopped cut
- srirachi sauce as garnish
gluten free pumpkin waffles

1. Lightly oil the waffle iron with vegetable oil, and set it to the desired temperature
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg*
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and warm
- Grated and lightly packed into the spoon, use 1/2 tsp. Grated and loosely scooped, this is about 1 tsp. of nutmeg. If you have to use pre-grated, dried nutmeg, use 1/4 tsp.

- 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
- 1 lemon wedge
- 3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) Cognac
- 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) Cointreau or other Triple Sec orange liqueur
- 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup ice

- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 lbs fresh spinach
- 1/4 c evoo
- 1/4 c red wine vinegar

- 6 large apples- peeled, cored and sliced thinly
